Let’s save both of ourselves some time! Below is a list of my most frequently asked questions.

HOW LONG DO THE SESSIONS USUALLY TAKE?

My time frames are pretty  generous I usually like to block out 2-3 hours of shooting but don’t be surprised if we wrap up earlier than expected. I end to shoot pretty fast to ensure I get as many different shots as possible. If we are shooting in a busy area, it might take us a little longer because we are waiting for people to get out of the way, etc. Also if you have picked an extensive package  that requires multiple shooting days, sessions will obviously be longer.The set  time frame includes travel time between locations. for my standard portraits and lifestyle sessions, I say about 1 hour per outfit but also take into consideration of how long it takes to change.

WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY A DEPOSIT?

The purpose of the deposit is to secure your session date + time. If you cancel last minute, it becomes an inconvenience for me because I most likely would have been able to book someone else during that period. I do not schedule  anything in my calendar until the deposit has been paid, NOTHING IS BOOKED UNTIL THE DEPOSIT HAS BEEN PAID.

WHEN DO I PAY THE REMAINDER? CAN I PAY ALL UPFRONT?

The remainder of your session fee is due immediately following your shoot before we both depart. No images will be delivered until final payment is made

ARE THERE ANY LOCATION TRAVEL FEES?

Depending exactly where you want your photographs done travel fees will vary. $60 is pretty typical for a shoot in the city. Since I don’t have a car and will tend to travel with a bag or two of gear, I charge a travel fee so I can get to and from our photoshoot with my gear + your photos safely.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

If the weather takes a turn for the worst, or you have some kind of emergency, we can put your shoot on hold and your deposit towards a re-schedule. If you decide to just not show up to the session, the deposit will not be refunded. You must notify me within 14 days of your session to receive a refund.

CAN I BRING A FRIEND? 

Yes! We love to be gassed up and motivated during shoot sessions bring a friend, sibling, significant other! whoever can get you in the zone if it makes you feel more comfortable, go for it!

HOW + WHEN WILL I RECEIVE THE FILES?

You will receive the edited images anywhere from 3-3 business days and 2 weeks depending on the session you booked. You will receive all of the files via Google Drive or WeTransfer, both are easy and free to use. From there, you then can send them to print, forward them to friends/family, and post online! Download links do expire after a few days, so be sure to download your images asap! Be sure to save + backup your images.

HOW LONG DO YOU STORE OUR IMAGES FOR?

Client files are cleaned every few months and I can’t guarantee that I will backup the images for you, so be sure to download the images and create your own backups. 

DO I GET TO SELECT THE IMAGES?

Part of my job when illustrating your vision is making the image selections and choosing the most flattering photographs. Images I do not deliver are either repeats, blurry/of focus, shots of you blinking or speaking. I have no reason to withhold any of the good stuff, especially if there are images I think you would enjoy!

CAN I HAVE THE UNEDITED VERSIONS OR RAW FILES?

NO!

WILL YOU RE-TOUCH (PHOTOSHOP) HOW I LOOK?

No, unless I’m working on a project that requires some type of special effects; or conceptual work, I do not retouch or alter my client’s appearance. If this is something you want, there is an easy solution which would be to outsource my final images to an editor of my choice.

WHAT IF WE ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE FINAL IMAGES?

I have yet to encounter this issue with a client being unhappy with my services; this is because I have clear communication, guidelines and expectations set prior to the shoot. If you have read my FAQ thoroughly and done all you can to prepare yourself for your photo shoot including; picking the location(s) you love, an outfit you feel good in, then I can assure that you will be happy with the final result. If I have delivered all that I  promised to you, through the photography services of your package of choice, and you are not happy with the final outcome there is nothing I can do aside performing my professional photography services.

WHAT IF WE DON’T WANT THE IMAGES USED ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA, WEBSITE, OR ANYWHERE ONLINE?

Please make it clear to me in your initial contact email if you don’t want your images used on my platforms (ie: social media, blogs, websites etc.), if this is the case please also let me know the reason. I market my photography services solely over the internet and I rely on sharing my photography work to bring in more clients. There is a fee if this is something you want waved. Please inquire for more detail.

CAN WE PICK WHAT IMAGES GO ON YOUR WEBSITE?

No… Any files I deliver to you could be shared online. 

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

Client(s) is responsible for their own transportation, parking  and any other permits (if needed) for the location. Client is also encouraged to bring props, and are responsible for whatever props they would like in the images.
